The jetbikes are now done. Shining Spears are traditionally blue and white, but the Saim-Hann treatment made them red and white. Each of them are magnetized on a ball magnet so the bikes can rotate, their weapon arms are also magnetized. The mooks are magnetized for, I assume, ease of transport, but the squad leader can switch out for a sword. There is also an option for one to take a Shuriken Cannon instead of twin Catapults.
I am happy with how the decals turned out, especially on the flags. I decided to rotate the logo on the spear flag because it’s even more narrow than the flag on the bike. It just fit way better and I think it looks good. There’s also a few Guardian looking minis in the front. Those are the Guardians attached to the Support Batteries that I finished before starting on the artillery.
There are a few Vipers and Support Batteries that are going to painted up next!

Right on the heels of the Firestorm Armada ships, I have started the next project: Saim-Hann Aeldari.
There are some Aspect Warriors, vehicles, and an Avatar, so that is going to be very exciting to work through. The first batch of the commission are Shining Spear jetbikes. They are all on ball magnets so they can make really cool poses during battle.
The designs on the front of each bike are freehand, following the box art. I think they came out nicely. The box art is blue, but due to the host army being Saim-Hann, it was requested the designs be in red instead. The Saim-Hann logos are from the decal sheet, where I added a layer of matte varnish to keep the shine down.

Wow, what a journey! This was a huge project with all sorts of miniatures from Firestorm Armada and some third party models for Battlefleet Gothic. Pictured are models only for a portion of the total commission, probably a third or half the models I ended up painting.
Though Spartan Games is now defunct, the IP from them was bought by Warcradle Studios, so we can hopefully expect reprints and new models for this game eventually! They just released some products for Dystopian Wars, so maybe Firestorm Armada is next.
The Battlefleet Gothic ships are by Soulforge Studio. A digital sculptor with a Patreon as well, their work is phenomenal. The models are highly detailed and printed with a resin printer so those details can actually show up! Check out their stuff!

The final Battlefleet Gothic ship, the Tear of Blood, is complete, plus a couple battleships.
I’m really excited about this ship with its unique colour scheme. I have never done so much marbling on a model, let alone blue marbling on the hull of a space ship. This 3D print from Soulforge Studio already has a ton of detail, adding the marble texture I think gives it a certain elegance. Then the white marble gems to bring the scheme together make great focal points on the ship.
Then a couple Hawker battleships to round out this batch. Just like their cruisers, I like the design of the battleships for the same reasons. There is that familiar sci-fi architecture that we see in a lot of human-based civilizations, and I am here for it.

Another big boy ship is done. The Iron Gauntlet is a resin 3D print from Soul Forge Studios, a very large model like the ships from this line before. I think the colour scheme is from the Battlefleet Gothic game and it really looks good all done. This ship comes with a baby ship that I shared the scheme with.
There are also four Hawker Industries cruisers that are done too. These ones follow their box art. I really like the design of these ships. They convey a familiar sci-fi aesthetic while looking pretty slick.

He rides the stars shooting the enemies of the Imperium out of the sky, he is Girlymann.
This is another Battlefleet Gothic inspired ship from Soulforge Studios and 3d printed in resin. From the last update, I added gold laurels with a blue background on the fins on each side of the ship. Plus some more gold points around the spires where it seemed to make sense, breaking up the beige.

I gotta say, this one is quite a bit of work. Here is a few WIP pictures. There is to be no Ultramarine iconography, but there can be blue in the scheme. Something to make it feel like a Primarch’s flagship. Maybe something can be done with the spires? We will have to see. Otherwise, this is almost done.

Menacing! The Ashen Waste has a very dark colour scheme. After all my painting, I did wash the entire model to dark it. The purple hull is now very very dark, but at least has that tone so it’s not just flat black. The bronzework is also darkened, hopefully it gives the impression of aged bronze. The towers and spiky bits got a hazy blue treatment, kind of went for the spectral feel. Hopefully, these all came together for quite the menacing look!
This comes from Soul Forge Studios

The first of the big ships are done. 2 glorious Gloriana-class battleships for the Battlefleet Gothic ships are done. These are huge miniatures and are highly detailed 3d printed ships. All the pointy bits are quite pointy too!
Soul Forge Studio releases these sci-fi models and there is such a variety. They look so good and some of them have funny names.
