Horus Heresy Space Marines, Orks, and Mechanicum Commission Update #7 – White Scars Dreadnought Drop Pod December 13, 2020

The next vehicle done is a Dreadnought Drop Pod for the White Scars. I kept the weathering similar to the other vehicles I did, so lots of dirt. But I added black to simulate the scorching from entering an atmosphere.
The doors and hinges are magnetized so we can see the empty inside. I needed to use the heat gun a lot and force the spines into place. Finally, it almost came together perfectly.
Horus Heresy Space Marines, Orks, and Mechanicum Commission Update #6 – Termite Halves November 29, 2020

A couple of Termite Drill halves are done. I did the different colours of the army, Yellow and Red. Slicing Forgeworld models in half is a bit scary at first, but then the bloodthirst sets in and before you know it, resin dust is all over you and there are two halves sitting on the table.
There was a bit of work done to build up the dirt around the hulls too. So it looks like the dirt is being displaced by the Termites going into or out of the ground. I’m particularly pleased with the Termite going into the ground, where the dirt is welling up like a wave in the front. I even used 4 different materials.
Slate pieces and small gravel were used to build up the bulk of the dirt due to the sizes. Small ballast mixed with small pebbles formed the majority of what is covering the base. And finally, fine sand was added to the edges and corners on the tracks and hull so it looks like some is sticking to the vehicle.
I tried to get the weathering a bit more realistic. The Termite coming out has a lot of dirt all over, where the drill going into the ground has more dirt and mud concentrated to the front. The little gun ports on the red Termite are left quite clean since it opens and closes at will, so little dirt would probably get on the guns.
There are two more to go and will also be red and yellow, though they will be full Termites. One of them will have open doors.
Cities of Sigmar: Ulric’s Retribution Stormhost July 24, 2020

The first of my Stormcast Eternals are now done. Custom bases, helmets, motifs, and hammerhead. With all those fancy bits, I came up with a name for my Stormhost too, Ulric’s Retribution.
The story is my Stormcast are the men and women who fought in the fall of Middenheim and the Old World, true heroes one and all. They were reborn on the anvil with the unique quirk of still worshiping Ulric over Sigmar. They were put together in a Stormhost called Ulric’s Retribution and now fight with the Middenheim Historical Association (Cities of Sigmar Freeguild, name still WIP).
I made several unique helmets and bases that I will be using on all my Stormcast. I also made a hammer head that I will be using to replace all the 2-handed hammers that will be available. I’m most happy with that one, it looks great.
The colour scheme is an alternate version of the Hallowed Knights scheme, adding a bit more black, gold, and off-white to get it closer to my original Middenheim colour scheme.

Super excited for more conversions. This one is pretty much a scratch build. Inspired by PaintedByG I thought I would do a Cities of Sigmar themed endless spell too.
I had the arch laser cut and since I made the slope too steep, I decided to go with it. The bridge is going to be one of those fancy bridges with stairs on both sides and a motif in the center. The end of it has pieces of Azyrite flooring that are all broken up. I plan on adding water effects and colour to make it look like magic is pulling pieces in and building the bridge. I’m going to be doing this again for the other half of the spell.
It already looks great and I can’t wait to show you more.

Super proud of making this piece. This is one of 3 chariots I made. Using a Wizkids wagon as the base, the rest is cannibalized parts and polystyrene pieces.

An assembly only commission for now, and it is complete. Short and sweet for this force.
Genestealer Cults of the Bladed Cog creed. There was some kitbashing for the Brood Brothers, as well as magnetization and scratch building for the tank.
The new Leman Russ kit does not come with heavy stubber or hunter killer missile options (disappointing). So, I had to find some extra bits I had around and found the guns and missiles, but only one mount each. I used styrene strips and rods to make the weapon mounts for a stubber and a missile.

The first of 2 models. The Terminus Est, metal mini from Battlefleet Gothic. Some conversion work sculpting the maw and Nurgle icons on the back. Going for a demonic infestation centralized along the spine of the ship. Need some purple/blue to add to the unnaturalness.

This is a kit bashed Iron Circle Domitar that can be used as either the Domitar or a special Magos. I used rubber casted tubing and cables, so much easier to pose that heating resin. The conversion was inspired from a great conversion that had the four-armed machine and another conversion with the Domitar ripping apart sprue. It’s great.
