The jetbikes are now done. Shining Spears are traditionally blue and white, but the Saim-Hann treatment made them red and white. Each of them are magnetized on a ball magnet so the bikes can rotate, their weapon arms are also magnetized. The mooks are magnetized for, I assume, ease of transport, but the squad leader can switch out for a sword. There is also an option for one to take a Shuriken Cannon instead of twin Catapults.

I am happy with how the decals turned out, especially on the flags. I decided to rotate the logo on the spear flag because it’s even more narrow than the flag on the bike. It just fit way better and I think it looks good. There’s also a few Guardian looking minis in the front. Those are the Guardians attached to the Support Batteries that I finished before starting on the artillery.

There are a few Vipers and Support Batteries that are going to painted up next!

Right on the heels of the Firestorm Armada ships, I have started the next project: Saim-Hann Aeldari.

There are some Aspect Warriors, vehicles, and an Avatar, so that is going to be very exciting to work through. The first batch of the commission are Shining Spear jetbikes. They are all on ball magnets so they can make really cool poses during battle.

The designs on the front of each bike are freehand, following the box art. I think they came out nicely. The box art is blue, but due to the host army being Saim-Hann, it was requested the designs be in red instead. The Saim-Hann logos are from the decal sheet, where I added a layer of matte varnish to keep the shine down.

The last model of the commission is now complete. Eldrad Ulthran, greatest farseer of Ulthwe. I followed the box art pretty closely. The scheme is very close, but I did change the gems to red to match the rest of the models I’ve done. The script on the trim is all freehand and I made the cloak a softer looking fabric by doing more blend work.

The Howling Banshees and their weapons are done as well as a Spiritseer. All that’s left is Eldrad!

I went with the box art scheme for the Spiritseer and kept the red the same as how the Banshee hair is done. At least they will have a consistent red between them.

A batch of 5 Howling Banshees are done. A couple of the Exarches are included. I haven’t done all the arms yet, but a lot of them have been magnetized. 5 more to go and then we can finish off the commission with a Spiritseer and Eldrad.

Half of the Howling Banshees are done. I am so glad they finally updated the Banshee sculpts, they are so similar to Harlequins in terms of stances and poses. Very dynamic and interesting to look at.

The last five models of the Striking Scorpions are done. A couple big boy chainswords, an Exarch, and the Phoenix Lord Karandras himself.

I mainly followed the scheme established by the previous Scorpions on Karandras. I wanted some common theme between them.

With the Harlequins now complete, we can go back to the Striking Scorpions.

We get the rare sighting of the legendary Harlequin 3-sword style build. Be afraid.

It’s great to see a batch complete. Since the last update, the 6 riders and all the weapons were completed as well. As a finishing touch, the windows were detailed. I am always impressed with the magnetization on these. The ball magnet allows for articulation and the tiny magnets are well placed to fit the riders.

Now it’s time for infantry.
