These last ten Seekers complete the squad and the last of the White Scars. What a journey!

This was a nice, large project featuring a variety of figures and lots of unique bits. I got to paint Horus Heresy vehicles, flyers, and a completely themed Space Marine army that I got to see through from start to end. And let’s not forget the Orks and Mechanicum who got some love in this commission as well.

The next commission is Harelquins and their diamond patterns.

The first half of the Seekers are done. I think these are the only true infantry I’ve done for the White Scars. Everyone else has been either on a bike, with a jump pack, or was a robot. Some daggers, pistols, and grenades have been added as well. They are looking quite formidable. 10 more to go.

My one Pelta-class frigate is now done. Not sure which version I will be using in battles, but it’ll probably be a Projection Experts caddie.

Like the rest of the fleet, I repainted the ship in white/blue and added freehand of my own. Two Republic insignias to properly show off loyalty.

The other 5 models in this units are done. One of them is the sergeant with a power halberd. The body was originally an Imperial Fist torso with an insignia. I filed it off and sculpted on the Roman numeral instead. I think it blends in well and looks great.

All that’s left is a block of 20 Seekers.

First batch of Destroyers done. Double pistols are alternate bolt pistols with drum magazines and plasma pistols. Alternate jump packs and melta bombs attached, they are ready for some pew pew.

Another character done for the Harlequin forces, the Death Jester. He’s got a big gun, which is very safe to use perched on his toes on a narrow piece of ruin. I reduced the number of diamonds on this guy relative to other Harlequins I’ve done. I wanted to keep the scheme similar in theme to the box art, so there is more dark colouring and fewer bright spots.

A couple of fine looking Leviathan Dreadnoughts are done! These particular vehicles, like the Xiphons, get some simple tribal markings all over the hull. Naturally, I also cover it all up in weathering. However, I decided to try something new this time and one of the Dreadnoughts doesn’t have as much mud splattering as the other.

Narratively, I think the dirtier Leviathan is piloted by a Space Marine who preferred to frolic in mud more than the cleaner one. Or maybe the dirtier one just happens to be further ahead in the chaos during this battle in the trenches and mud.

Lastly, there is a small update on the Apothecaries. I repainted the loincloths red instead of the cool blue.

One more Star Weaver crew was done, but the star of this post is the Jetbike. Set on a sphere magnet, like the Star Weavers, the jetbike is looking nimble and floaty. The underslung weapon and the riders aren’t glued on.

Continuing with my repaints, I have finished this Venator. Blue and white scheme with a Republic insignia thrown in there. I also added more engine glow and a glow from the under-hanger. I kept the dark wash in the creases on this one, so it’s a bit different than my other ships. I’ll say it’s a Venator II. My other Venator will have the softer sepia wash like my Acclamator and so will be a Venator I.

There are two Apothecaries that are assigned to the army. Naturally, they get jump packs for more efficient door-to-door surgery. They also get fancy squiggly spears. I think the next White Scars minis will be the dreadnoughts.
