I’ve always wanted to make custom objective markers, for any game system. This is an objective for my Soviets. I made all those little sandbags and made a swivel for the MG. The narrative for this is it is a small command outpost on the flank of the marching army. The officer is waving down someone off canvas. The brass rod is the base for a Soviet flag that will be flying or drooping.

Starting off on the Orks. This is not all of them. Probably close to two-thirds. Most of the minis are from Games Workshop and Forgeworld. There are a number that are from Kromlech, like the Meganobz, Mega Boss, and others. Looking forward to be painting such gorgeous models!

Terminus Est and Scimitar Starship together at last. Cross over universes where nothing bad would ever happen.

Starfleet has another ship in their arsenal. A Scimitar class starship. I have been told this is basically a fan made starship and then 3D modeled from concept drawings. I think that’s awesome.

Looking fantastic. A complete Terminus Est. I added purple emanating from the central spine for that other-worldly feel the combination of purple and green like that makes. I wanted to go for a look of infestation that originated from the center of the ship.

The maw and Nurgle motifs had Nurgle’s Rot added to them for the gooey drool that Nurgle things usually have coming out of various orifices. I think it looks great, time to work on some Star Trek.

The first of 2 models. The Terminus Est, metal mini from Battlefleet Gothic. Some conversion work sculpting the maw and Nurgle icons on the back. Going for a demonic infestation centralized along the spine of the ship. Need some purple/blue to add to the unnaturalness.

Final batch of models for my Soviet list for Adepticon. I decided on a T-64 list rather than a T-72 list because of the T-64 armour reliability. The change removes a T-72, but I put in an AA infantry stand and a BMP transport. The tank squads are all minimum sizes.

I have not posted my first paint rack, so I will do that in time. This second one has a ball bearing mechanism as I needed something strong enough to hold up this many paints and still turn smoothly.

This iteration holds up to 70 paints. I have put all of my GW and P3 paints into my own 14mL drop bottles or in 17mL Vallejo bottles. Either fit well. The idea of these are to make a paint rack that takes less of a spacial footprint than having the paint sitting there or on a standard stand that holds paint. For most instances, I think it does.

It does not look as impressive as having all your paint in rows on stands or on a wall, but it’s an ideal space saver with someone like me who has limited desk space and can’t put up organizers on walls.

The Orc bust from Blacksun Miniatures is complete. Super proud of this one going to Adepticon.

Originally, his face paint was pristine. But since I painted his scarring over the hand print, I got the idea to actually weather the face paint. Now he really looks like time has passed and he’s been wiping his face, not caring in maintaining the mark. Sweat (stain gloss) was added to bring more life to him as I wanted the narrative to be him in the field, working at something (probably something war-like). Lots of dings and scratches on his armour add to that narrative. Or so I hope.

The hand print is supposed to be the White Hand of Saruman, and thus the Orc an Uruk-Hai. Specifically, Lurtz. A bald Lurtz lol.

My entry for a local GW painting competition. The first time I have done this much NMM in a long time and I feel I have improved since my last effort. I still need to work on having a consistent perception for how the light is supposed to hit the armour, especially when I want additional sources of light to come into play. I guess I will just have to paint more!

I look forward to doing the other two in the same style. Stay tuned.
