Next on the block is Asajj Ventress, Sith apprentice. Her alternative scheme here is using Night Sister colours, so lots of reds. I went for purple shading to the smooth shadows, but not quite blue so the shadows are not as deep as they could be. Like Dooku, there is some OSL from the lightsabers and it reaches somewhat up her arms. One of the lightsabers I deemed was close enough to the ground to make a glow effect there.
Lastly, I made sure to paint on her makeup and bright eyes. The purple lines are quite subtle in some scenes of the show, but I think I got them.

Wow, what a journey! This was a huge project with all sorts of miniatures from Firestorm Armada and some third party models for Battlefleet Gothic. Pictured are models only for a portion of the total commission, probably a third or half the models I ended up painting.
Though Spartan Games is now defunct, the IP from them was bought by Warcradle Studios, so we can hopefully expect reprints and new models for this game eventually! They just released some products for Dystopian Wars, so maybe Firestorm Armada is next.
The Battlefleet Gothic ships are by Soulforge Studio. A digital sculptor with a Patreon as well, their work is phenomenal. The models are highly detailed and printed with a resin printer so those details can actually show up! Check out their stuff!

It’s gotta be said, pewter tentacles are a pain in the butt! Though I’m sure I would have had an even hard time if those tentacles were resin instead. The last Aquan Prime dreadnought I did had this same chassis, but it looked like it was “closed”, where this dreadnought is “active or “open”.
I think these are the last of the Ryushi ships. We are getting to the last models in the commission. There are a handful of Kedorians, Hawker Industries, and a couple BFG ships. Very exciting.

4 ships of the line done. Oroshan Cruisers. I’ve done these before in a past commission, but it has been a while since I’ve seen these ships. I think these are a new iteration, they appear to have more detail than the older ones.

I love it when models come with a combination of materials. The battlecarriers here have the regular resin like most Firestorm Armada minis, they also have laser cut acrylic pieces to add as well. They are put on top and the sides of the hangar bay. The sides can be left out as well since the bottom of the model actually fits with the top. Seeing the ships side by side gives you the sense the carriers switch in and out of battle readiness. Very cool.

We have some different class of cruisers than we usually get. Instead of having a pewter ring, it’s plastic! The ship itself is also is a bit smaller than the other class of cruiser, but the paint scheme is the same. The other ships are a handful of escorts just to make the rest of the fleet feel bigger.
I was also asked to upgrade the frigate the scheme I did for the Great White Fleet, adding highlights and some glow.

The Syndicate return this commission with their Great White Fleet scheme. One can never have too many escorts or fighters. A couple cruisers from other factions but the same scheme found their way into the force too.
