All of the bikes have been built now. I decided to attach the Marines since it didn’t look like too much was obstructed if I glued them in place. Also, they just look so cool.
I am very pleased with how they turned out. Each one is quite unique in that almost all of them have their own weapon/trophy display of some kind, and they’re all attached differently. Very tribal looking.
For the bases, I am continuing the trenchwork/mud theme I had going for the infantry I did earlier. Since the bases are much larger, I can do much more too. I was given stone faces and chain and other random bits, so I put them on. The chains are attached to some of the faces so it looks like some sort of excavation is going on. There are also balsawood catwalks I made for the trenchwork part of the theme.
The brass rods are cut at different heights so the jetbikes look like they are zipping across uneven terrain. Once everything is painted, I will be adding the mud and water effects to complete the aesthetic. I’ve got the catwalks on 4 bases, maybe more are needed?

The next batch of minis are Space Marine Jetbikes! The White Scars like to add trophies and other bits to their steeds so that’s what I did. A bunch have chain glaives and shields attached to the bike. I have a few different materials like chain, rope, and wire.
I tried to give some variety. The shields are placed all over the bikes and the glaives are put on either side.
They are going to be mounted on brass rod attached to their fancy mud and rubble bases. Though I think I’ll be attaching the rods to the base and then have the jetbikes will just be friction fit on top.

The next vehicle done is a Dreadnought Drop Pod for the White Scars. I kept the weathering similar to the other vehicles I did, so lots of dirt. But I added black to simulate the scorching from entering an atmosphere.
The doors and hinges are magnetized so we can see the empty inside. I needed to use the heat gun a lot and force the spines into place. Finally, it almost came together perfectly.

Alpharius enters the fray. This Forgeworld model comes with a scenic base depicting the Primarch kill a Space Marine. In this case, a Space Wolf.
I went for largely box art colours. The green metal accents and silver trim make for a unique colour scheme amongst the legions. The choice was to make the Space Marine an Imperial Fist or Space Wolf. I went with Space Wolf to keep the colours around Alpharius muted so the focus can stay on the Primarch.

I forgot to post these here. But they ended up on my other social media accounts.
They are a couple of Xiphon fighters in White Scars colours. I masked off most of the hull in order to paint the canopy and get the sharp, straight lines for the red, since I used an airbrush for most of the painting.
All the dirt weathering I added were all in streaks. I tried to make it in one direction to give the feeling of the forward movement the Xiphons would be doing.
One of the fighters has a thin white stripe on the front triangle. Hopefully that will make it easier to tell which fighter is which.

After some time in radio silence, I present the first batch of the next commission. This new commission will have Horus Heresy White Scars, Sons of Horus, Mechanicum, and Orks.
This first batch is two Jump Chaplains, a Psyker from an Emperor’s Champion model, and an Ork boss from Grimskull Miniatures. There are alternative parts like the chain glaives and jump packs that were 3D printed or resin cast.
The bases for the Space Marines is a mud/trenchworks theme so water effects are added to the mud and a lot of weathering to the armour. I think it puts them into the scene very nicely. The glowing fist and sword of the Emperor’s Champion will hopefully convey that he is a psyker. He even has a book.

The last of the World Eaters are now done. The tank is magnetized to be a Rhino or a Predator of either variant. I also painted a bit of the inside. The marine is a Captain with a power sword. The commission came with one less backpack than needed, so I scrounged around my bits box and found one.
All that’s left is the Bloodthirster.

Another batch done. Red Butchers, plasma gunners, and more assault marines. The shoulder pads and backpacks are up next.
I added a lot more blood to the Terminators in comparison to the assault marines. Maybe too much? They’re elite units who are butchery enthusiasts, so I thought they should have the gore to match.
