A very exciting weekend just wrapped up for me. Alphonso Giraldes, or Banshee, flew in from Spain to lead a painting seminar starting in Vancouver and going across Canada. For those that do not know, Alphonso is a fantastic painter and a pretty great sculptor. Many time winner of a plethora of reputable painting contests. He worked at several model companies, including Forgeworld and Knight Models.

I loved every minute of it. He went very in depth and we did our best to take in the huge amount of information being thrown at us. The highlight of the seminar was definitely his demo. In just over 90 minutes, he applied everything he taught us in the class on his Anonymous Bust. Just using Red, Blue, yellow, Black, White, and a couple inks. This is what it looked like in the end.

I have not finished mine yet. But I am looking forward to seeing what I can do. Crossing my fingers for the next artist to come to Canada!

The results are impressive…more so when considering the limited selection of colors. Looking forward to possibly seeing your results posted here?
